Australian Open Competition

Terms and Conditions


  1. Promoter
    The promoter of this competition is Riff (operated by Riff t/a Local Carbon Pty Ltd (“Promoter”). This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with the Australian Open or Tennis Australia.

  2. Competition Period
    The competition opens at 9:00am (AEDT) on Wednesday 21 January 2026 and closes at 5:00pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 27 January 2026 (“Competition Period”).

  3. Eligibility
    Entry is open to individuals who:

    • Are 18 years or older at the time of entry;

    • Are residents of Australia; and

    • Have an active Riff account with at least one idea or challenge submitted during the Competition Period.

  4. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

  5. How to Enter
    To enter the competition, eligible entrants must, during the Competition Period:

    • Follow the official Riff Instagram account;

    • Comment on any competition post published on the Riff Instagram page; and

    • Have an active Riff account with at least one idea or challenge submitted.

  6. Submission of an idea or challenge is automatically tracked within Riff and does not need to be submitted separately for entry.

    Entry is free. No purchase or payment is required.

  7. Prize
     One (1) winner will receive:

    • Two (2) tickets to the Australian Open Women’s Final, scheduled for 7:30pm on Saturday 31 January 2026.

  8. The prize includes tickets only. The winner is responsible for all other costs, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, meals, transport, and any other expenses associated with attending the event.

  9. Prize Conditions

    • The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

    • The Promoter is not responsible if the event is cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled for reasons beyond its control.

  10. Draw & Winner Notification

    • The winner will be drawn at random at 7:00pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 27 January 2026.

    • The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message and/or the email associated with their Riff account within 24 hours of the draw.

    • If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize, (in which case the winner will have forfeited the prize) and an alternative winner may be selected by Riff it is sole discretion.

  11. Use of Entries & Publicity
    By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter using their name and Instagram handle for reasonable promotional purposes related to the competition, including announcing the winner, without additional compensation.

  12. Liability
    To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of entering the competition or accepting or using the prize.

  13. Disqualification
    The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who:

    • Does not meet the eligibility requirements;

    • Submits misleading, offensive, or fraudulent content; or

    • Tampers with the entry process.

  14. Privacy
    Personal information collected in connection with this competition will be used solely for administering the competition and in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

  15. General

    • The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    • The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the competition if required due to unforeseen circumstances.

  16. Governing Law
    These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
